During Term 1, Stage 1 students are learning about the Living World in their Science unit. As part of their learning, students will be visiting the Calmsley Hill City Farm, where they will engage in tours about how a farm environment meets people’s needs. The excursion includes a sensory exploration in the permaculture garden, farmyard nursery petting, cow milking and a free tractor ride. Students will also watch a working dog show and a sheep shearing show and talk.
Date: Thursday 18th March 2021
Time: Students are to arrive at school at 8.15am and meet their teacher at the Kindy COLA to travel to the excursion by bus which will leave at 8.30am. We expect to return to school by 3.00pm.
Attire: Students need to wear their school sports uniform and suitable walking shoes.
Bring: Excursion bag with recess, lunch, water bottle, hat, jacket and raincoat.
