Leadership at Lane Cove West 

Being a school Captain is like being a captain of a Sport Team, challenging but rewarding. It has been awesome so far, it comes with a lot of responsibilities but I know it's going to be fun. I feel privileged and really excited and am looking forward to leading Lane Cove West - Akshay

Being School captain is an important role which gives me the opportunity to show leadership. I love all the extra responsibilities we have and the opportunities we have to represent our school. I am excited to be School Captain - Charlotte

Being a School Vice Captain means embracing the responsibility to guide and inspire others, it is a privilege that comes with a commitment to my school. It's a special opportunity to make a difference, while also meeting new people and learning from everyone - Sophie

It is a privilege to be a School Vice Captain and I am honoured to be selected as a leader. I am so glad and grateful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to all the challenges that come with the role and leading Lane Cove West - Samuel

Sport Captains - Leadership

Currawong - Being a leader means that you can follow the school values, control a group and help others. It means being a respectful and responsible captain, a supportive and encouraging friend and a fun and enthusiastic teammate.  Oscar & Sabine

Lorikeet - A leader supports and encourages their peers and helps lift everyone's spirits, especially before carnivals.  A leader is someone who helps everyone, not just themselves. Luka & James 

Rosella - Being a leader means showing pride and good sportsmanship and following the school values. It also means that you are responsible and encouraging towards your teammates. You also understand that it doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you have fun.  Jonas & Savannah

Kingfisher - Being a leader means supporting anyone and everyone in everything, no matter what. It also means encouraging people to do their absoloute best. Another good quality is to be responsible. Poppy & Jacob
