HARMONY DAY

Date

Time

All day

School

On Thursday 19th March, 2020, Lane Cove West Public School will celebrate Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home, from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. Children who have a cultural background or language other than English national heritage are invited to wear their national dress/costume on the day.  All other children who do not have a National Dress are encouraged to wear orange, the official Harmony Day colour. As a display of diversity, children are invited to bring a plate of traditional food that represents their culture to share with their class and perhaps a small explanation about the food. Please remember that our school is ‘nut free’.
